Civil Apprentice/Trainee of the Year (Individual)
Applicants for this award must:
- Be permanent residents of Australia
- Have a contract of training registered in Tasmania
- Have completed or be due to complete your training (i.e. the completion date on your training agreement) in the period between 1 January 2024 and 30 June 2025, in a training course that leads to a nationally recognised outcome or qualification relevant to the award you are applying for
- Be nominated by your employer or registered training provider.
- Be employed by a CCF Tas Contractor, Associate or Stakeholder Member on 31st March 2025
Commitment to Training (Business)
- Nominated business was a financial CCF Contractor, Associate or Stakeholder Member on 31st March 2025
- Nominator will need to attach supporting documentation, for example testimonials from clients, employees or training organisations, media articles or external recognition of identifiable positive business outcomes due to commitment to training and skills development.
- Employer invests in training which has resulted in identifiable positive business outcomes
Equipment Operator of the Year (Individual)
- Nominator employed by or owner of CCF Tas Contractor or Associate Member business.
- Operator employed by a CCF Tas Member for any period between 1April 2024 and 31 March 2025
- Operator works safely, communicates effectively, plans ahead and cares for the machine
- Operator is recognised by colleagues, management and clients as highly skilled and consistently reliable
- Operator assists other operators, particularly inexperienced operators, to improve their skills and techniques
- Operator takes pride in the work place
- Nominator must attach supporting documentation, for example testimonials from clients or supervisors, media articles, photographs or videos that demonstrate exceptional skills or completed work.
Owner/Operator of the Year (Individual)
- Nominated business was a financial CCF Contractor on 31st March 2025
- Owner/ operator has a hands-on machine operation role in the business
- Owner/ operator operates machinery, on average, at least 4 out of 5 working days
- Owner/ operator’s business has a maximum of 20 employees including family members in any role
- Owner/ operator owns at least 50% of the business
- Nominator must attach supporting documentation, for example testimonials from clients, photos or videos or media articles that demonstrate the exceptional service provided by the owner/ operator.
Small Civil Contractor of the Year
- Nominated business was a financial CCF Contractor, Associate or Stakeholder Member on 31st March 2025
- Small Contractor has 20 or less employees including family members in any role
- Small Contractor’s business address is located in Tasmania
- Nominator must attach supporting documentation, for example testimonials from clients, photos or videos or media articles that demonstrate the exceptional service provided by the small contractor
Digital Technology Award
Please choose one or both of the following two criteria:
- Contractor is utilising digital technology that improves Operational Safety and Employee’s Wellbeing raising Site Safety Standards as per OHS Plan.
- Contractor is utilising digital technology that improves performance of the project aiding increased accuracy, time reduction and environmental footprint reduction or overcoming barriers by implementing technology usage.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Contractor must be a member of CCFTas on 31st March 2025.
- Nominator has worked with/for of the Contractor between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2025
- Contractor’s business address is in Tasmania.
- Nominator must attach supporting documentation, for example testimonials from clients, photos or videos or media articles that demonstrate the exceptional service provided by the contractor

You will be sent the submission form, then please Pay the Submission Fee
(submissions will not be processed until the submission fee has been paid).
STEP 3

As soon as your submission is complete, book your tickets to attend the awards dinner as numbers are strictly limited.
